This personal reflection shares how a citrine meditation came through during everyday life, blending Metta and Reiki to support clarity, confidence, and trust in your next steps.
How a Citrine Meditation Came Through
(and why I listened)
My best ideas rarely come when I sit down and try to create something.
They come when I am cleaning.
Organizing a shelf.
Clearing a drawer.
Taking a shower.
Putting clothes away.
There is something about creating order externally that makes space internally. When I am focused on a simple physical task, my attention is steady. The rest of my thoughts seem to untangle themselves quietly in the background. It is not dramatic or mystical. It is subtle.
It is also a form of meditation.
Anything that holds our attention in a singular way becomes a kind of concentration practice. And this is when I receive almost all of my downloads.
That is how this Citrine meditation came through.
Noticing the state first
At the time, I noticed a subtle feeling I have come to recognize over the years. Grinding.
Project focused.
Mentally busy.
Thinking ahead instead of being here.
It is the kind of state where energy spins into planning, projecting, and problem solving. Not in a grounded way. Not in a flow state. It feels more like forcing than flowing.
When ideas come in that state, they usually do not unfold smoothly. They feel heavy. Complicated. Like slogging through a marsh.
But when ideas arrive from a settled place, they come like lightning. Clear. Direct. Simple.
I have learned to trust that difference.
Letting the meditation unfold
For about a month, I knew I needed to record new meditations for my Reiki Meditation Library. But I felt tired. Flat. Not quite connected to the spark that makes something feel alive.
Then one afternoon, while putting clothes away, the idea came through clearly.
A Metta meditation. With Citrine.
If you are not familiar, a traditional Metta meditation includes several simple phrases that are repeated gently. The phrases are often directed toward yourself, then toward others. For example:
May I be well.
May I be happy.
May I be safe.
May I be at peace.
It is simple. Repetitive. Powerful.
The unique layer here was inviting in the qualities of Citrine. Clarity. Confidence. Optimism. Trust in your direction.
So I followed the nudge.
Want to try it with me?
Take one slow breath in and out.
Read one line at a time. Pause after each one. Notice how your body responds before moving to the next.
May joy move through me with ease.
May my inner self be at peace.
May I trust my direction.
May clarity and optimism guide me to my next steps.
Pause.
Notice what shifts. Even slightly.
Sometimes the simplest practices create the biggest changes.

When this kind of support is helpful
This Citrine meditation can be especially supportive if you are:
Feeling like you are forcing something
Needing to step back and soften
Feeling uninspired or mentally scattered
Wanting to reconnect with clarity and direction
If you have a Citrine at home, you can hold it while you listen. If you do not, that is perfectly fine. You will still receive the energetic support through the meditation and Reiki intention.
A note on ritual
Taking even a few minutes for yourself is a powerful act. Meditation has changed my life again and again. That is why I aim to keep it simple and accessible. You do not need an elaborate setup. You just need willingness and a little space.
