So What Is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old healing system from India. It’s based on the idea that everything in nature (including you!) is made up of five elements: earth, water, fire, air, and space.

These elements combine to form three main energies—or doshas—that influence your body, personality, digestion, and even how you respond to stress. Think of them like your internal season or operating system.

  • We each have all three doshas, but one or two tend to be more dominant.
