Case Study- Healing Through Rituals: EH’s Story of Grounding & Growth

Introduction

One of my favorite parts of this work is witnessing the real and lasting transformations that unfold when someone decides to commit to their own healing. Every story is unique, but each one shines a light on what’s possible when we create space for change. In this case study, EH shares their experience moving through Elevate programs with openness, curiosity, and dedication. Their story is a beautiful reminder of how simple, consistent practices can ripple out into profound shifts in body, mind, and spirit.

About You:

Q- Would you share a little context about yourself that helps readers understand your world?

A- My present world is truly centered around holistic self care: my daily habits and routines, what I eat, my mental health, my exercise routine and my creative outlets.

Transformation

Q- Looking back, what has been the most impactful change you’ve experienced since beginning these programs?

A- A better relationship with food and mindful eating, because I am an emotional eater. But now I think longer about what I (my body) really wants and needs and I make much better choices, even when I’m on the run. 

 

Q- What challenges, symptoms, or frustrations led you here?

A- I was led to Elevate through pure curiosity, and during opening hours at the shop, I had a tarot reading by Fletcher. Since then I’ve learned to navigate the physical world better through a more spirit-guided life. 


Q- What made you decide it was time to try something different?

A- I had been introduced to Ayurveda online about a year before meeting Fletcher at Elevate. It was a workshop that was centered around creating daily rituals for yourself and for making your own health and wellbeing a priority. But Fletcher has her own magical sense of incorporating Ayurveda into the mystical realm, and that was the perfect combination for me.

The Journey

Q- Which program did you start with? 

A- 3-Day Detox

Q- What shifts, results, or benefits did you notice in that first program? 

A- The program calls for basic ingredients, and shopping for those ingredients and getting what I knew to be the best simple ingredients for my body helped me get started in the right direction. The monodiet gave my body a rest (and myself, because it was so simple). Starting with what I ate helped me learn how to begin slowing down and simplifying all aspects of my life. It is a gentle reset and one that I like to use anywhere from 2-4 times a year. 

Q- How did things continue to evolve as you joined other programs?

A- Savor: Learning to slow down and pay attention to not just the meal in front of me but learning about where all my food was coming from. It was an awakening sense of gratitude for each meal. 

Rooted: Learning essential grounding techniques in gentle, incremental practices.

Spirit Session: Receiving guidance on my direction in life. I had a lot of big decisions to make on what direction I wanted to go. The spirit session was pivotal. I took much time and care in deciding what specific questions I wanted to ask. It was so amazing to see the results of the Spirit Session with my very own eyes. I highly recommend a Spirit Session.

Self-Care Kit: Fletcher’s contact with Spirit is incredibly helpful for those who feel completely disconnected from the Spirit world. She can help you reunite with that side of yourself, and her self-care kits are personally chosen just for you. It is an intimate experience meant only for you, to you, and it is special.

Q- If you repeated any programs, what felt different or deeper the second (or third) time?

A- The 3-Day Detox is my go-to. I now love making homemade kitchari and seasoning mixes of various spices. As with any program, you’re able to mentally digest more the second, third, fourth time. Learning builds upon previous learning over a span of time. 

Q- Were there practices or rituals you connected with most strongly? 

A- Grounding is essential for me because I have strong Pitta and Vata energy. When fire and air elements are not grounded with earth elements, my head is up in outer space and I am no longer able to connect with other people in every-day life. I highly recommend the Rooted program for anyone who feels spacey and disconnected from the natural world and from humanity in general. 

Q- Was there anything that surprised you or shifted your perspective during the process?

A- I am learning more about the concept of true gratitude. Gratitude for my body in terms of honoring it and treating it with the respect that it deserves. Gratitude for others who work so hard for all the foods that I eat that literally come from all over the world. 

Results & Integration

Q- What other shifts, results, or benefits have you noticed along the way? (Feel free to bullet point)

A-

  • Greater trust in my intuition and my higher self
  • A greater connection with the natural world and with life, in general, as a whole
  • Depression has lifted
  • Self-esteem has been re-established
  • Daily habits and routines have improved
  • Healthy weight loss of 25 pounds since beginning all Elevate programs (approximately 2 years time)
  • Feeling more grounded and mentally stable
  • Better food choices and better choices on how I spend my time
  • Were there both immediate shifts and more gradual ones over time? 

Some were immediate (Spirit Session, Tarot Reading) but overall the shifts from the programs have been gradual over time. Every day I choose what decisions to make, and if I make good choices, it has a drastic impact over time.

Q- How have you woven these practices into your daily life?

A- Gentle yoga flows that are grounding, better food choices at every meal, less emotional binge-eating, ayurvedic practices and daily rituals, more spirit-centered creative projects

Q- How have these changes shown up in your health, energy, mindset, or relationships?

A-

  • Health: Weight loss, Cholesterol levels now in normal range
  • Energy: Knowing what to put my energy into and what to let go of to prevent energy leaks (cultivating personal boundaries)
  • Mindset: A shift in attitude of “what’s the point” to “I can do this and I want to do this, because I owe it to myself to care for and love myself”

Q- How long have these changes lasted, and what still feels part of your routine today? 

A- These changes have not only lasted but improved over time, and I will continue to use them, because they work, and now I know what is best for me, and I will never abandon myself again and make the unhealthy choices that I made in the past.

Reflection

Q- Who do you think would benefit most from these programs? 

A- Anyone who is willing to be open-minded enough to give something new a chance to bloom. If you suffer from depression, low self-esteem, physical ailments, access weight, if you have a desire to connect to the spiritual world, if you want to open yourself up to the beauty that life has to offer that might not seem there to you, if you want to live a more vital and creative life and create daily routines based on a healthy, happy lifestyle, if you want to experience the more “magical” side of life…I could go on and on. Anyone who is willing to give these programs a chance can benefit, especially those who need a simple plan and gentle guidance on how to make healthier and wiser choices in all aspects of their life. 

Q- Is there anything else you’d like to share?

A- Nope, I think that covers it. :)
